In 2025, ELAB completed its second consecutive Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) assessment for Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB), reporting a GWP of 1.4 kg CO₂-eq per kg, verified by Greenwise under EPD International’s PCR 2021:03. Electricity consumption is now included, making the evaluation more comprehensive and aligned with global standards.
The gate-to-gate assessment covers:
On-site production processes (separation, purification, dehydrogenation, alkylation)
Internal energy and electricity use
Raw material transport
Utilities and waste treatment
This reflects ELAB’s commitment to transparency, sustainability, and continuous environmental improvement.
